The Robin is a small garden bird.
It is best know for it's bright red breast. It has brown feathers on it's head and back and a white belly. It has thin legs.
The robin hops around when on the ground. He flies quickly. It is a common sight in an Irish garden.
The robin eats worms and small insects. It will also eat from bird feeders containing seeds and fat, or it will eat crumbs or oats from the ground.
Robins also eat nuts.
ReplyDeleteRonins are known as a friend to the gardener. They can be very brave, hopping around where the gardener is digging looking for worms.
